Having a really tough time making end meet. My fiance and I work our butts off and have nothing to show for it! We have 2 small kids, and I house we rent, our cars and that's it. We live paycheck to paycheck and he works at a warehouse and i work in a corporate office!!! I can't believe what we go through every month just to scrape by and get the bare minimum!! California is outrageous with all of the taxes, fees, rent etc... I feel like I'm in a hole that I can't crawl out of. We have debts from years ago we can not pay. Our daughter has been in and out of the hospital with some mystery illness.. we can't afford the medical bills. I need a life renovation!! A new job!! ANYTHING! Something has to give and I'm just waiting for my time!
Colorado is a tough place... I've lived there before. Jobs are scarce and pay is LOW! Once you do get a job, the rent/expenses ratio is WAY off... you are always either barely scraping by or not quite making it...
Have you tried a staffing agency. I'm not talking OfficeTeam, but maybe Aerotek or somewhere like that. There are a lot of places that need people for jobs that don't neccesarily require you to have finished high school. Aerotek is off Garden of the Gods somewhere... There once was a place that ALWAYS was hiring... It was a telephone survey company, again, off Garden of the Gods. They hired ex cons from Com-cor, so i'm pretty sure they'd work with no GED.
Believe me when i say I understand. I was at one point, before I moved to California, living in a hotel room with 2 guys (and i'm a girl) just found out I was pregnant, had a temp job I was about out of contract with and $30 in my bank account. My boyfriend and I split up, and I had no other friends or family within 1000 miles. I was out, jumping from hotel to hotel on the westside of town trying to find a place to live, and food to eat. I was striking deals with any hotel manager I came across just so I could have a place to sleep. I was 19, almost 20... Try and keep your head up, things will get better. Just hit that pavement like you never have before!
